I honestly don't know where to start because AJstephsons company have been amazing from start to finish. Jo who I honestly don't know how she put up with me was very accomdating with all my cancellations she still managed to stand by me every step even when I was stressed out she still had the right words to make me feel at ease. The young men delivered their best service from boxes to assisting me with packing. And on the day of moving me in the guys were fantastic beyond words even when the chairs couldn't fit the new place they still did their best to get one in. I honestly wouldn't have done it wothout them and I would recommend AJstephsons company and I hope to use them in the near future if I was to move. Jo, Mart and the team job well done. My particular circumstance meant that I needed a service to pack and collect some 40 years worth of possession (3 containers), and then store it for a couple of years while I went off on a work assignment in the US before delivering it all to a new location. Over the 2 years, from the initial quote right through to the final delivery 2 years later, AJ Stephenson were incredibly professional and friendly and it's so very clear to me that their focus on customer satisfaction is something that sets them apart from other companies... and it makes all the difference. Nothing was too much trouble, communications were clear and timely, and given the difference in time zones I never once felt the need to call as all communications were handled effectively over e-mail. Reasonable prices. Promises kept. What more can I say... Superb ! ~ Danny S

AJ Stephensons were excellent! From my initial enquiry regarding a quote, right through to the final stage in my new property they were polite, professional, punctual, extremely hard working & efficient. Jo in the office was so helpful & friendly. She was so accommodating when my moving date was put back & managed to jiggle things around to fit me in. I also used them for storage. Their prices are very competitive. They came the day before my moving day to take my storage items & loaded the crates without any problems. The following day they moved everything else without a hitch. Steve & Scott were such hard workers, they didn’t even take a break. They were thorough & careful & extremely efficient. I honestly can’t recommend them highly enough. They reduced all the stress & worry on the day & I would definitely use them again. ~ jennie w

The whole process was carefully explained by Matt when he came to quote with his recommendations of packing, part-loading, complete loading by lunchtime the following day and delivery some 70 miles away the day after. Matt also stepped in at short notice to arrange delivery of some furniture to to our son who had also moved house. Her even offered to help our buyers find a removal firm for completion day. I was impressed that despite working at speed the team took very good care of our belongings with no breakages or damage. A big shout to Phil, Scott and Darren who handled the whole move with boxes delivered to the right rooms. Stephensons may not be the cheapest, but for a big move it pays to use the best, Thank you. ~ George K

I have used A J Stephenson on two separate occasions more than 8 years apart and can 100% recommend them. This last move was incredibly stressful due to our buyer using a 3rd party equity release company and we were mucked around considerably (including not actually completing on completion day). Matt and Joanne and all the folks at A J Stephenson were the light in all the stress. They could not have been more helpful, reassuring and accommodating even though they too were being messed around with dates changing etc. Given that the move was for my elderly mother I will be eternally grateful for the way in which they looked after us. Very professional from start to finish. Incredibly impressed, great communication leading up to moving day, quick to answer any questions, reliable and timely with packing house. No items were damaged, everything was very well protected. Covid rules adhered unlike other removal company at sellers house. Rebuild of furniture was excellent (wardrobes studier than before we moved!) and box labelling was spot-on, we were able to find everything we needed with ease. We feel lucky to have had 3 different friends recommend you, and we would also highly recommend. The team made the move stress free allowing us to settle into our new home much quicker than we anticipated. ~ David F

This is a top class company. Moving is stressful enough but this company made the day go smoothly without any stress whatsoever. From first contacting the company for a quote and talking to the staff everyone was very helpful and listened to our requirements. The boxes arrived when they said they would and even when we needed some more nothing was too much trouble. They moved over 150 items from one house to the other without even a scratch on any of the items. The 3 guys who moved us were always friendly and wouldn't let us get involved at all, they completely took over which made us feel at ease from beginning to end. I can't praise them highly enough. I would absolutely recommend this company. If you are looking to move and want a professional removal service - then look no further than Stevenson's. Firstly I would like to say a big thank you to A J Stephenson and their team for an an amazing service and a such a friendly bunch of people. Nothing was a problem for the team and they took all our worries and concerns away. They are very careful with all your items and the way they pack their lorries so neatly is amazing to see. A special thank you to Steve (who has worked their for many years) for co-ordinating the move on the day and Matt in the office for keeping us up to date before our move date and nothing was ever problem for him. From start to finish the team at AJ Stephenson made our moving experience a breeze. Moving home with young children is never easy, but using AJ Stephenson took most of the stress off our plates! Everything was so carefully and professionally packed and then when we moved into our new home all our boxes were perfectly placed into the rooms they belonged in, with all beds and furniture reassembled. The full packing service made all the difference and was worth every penny. The team worked tirelessly from 8am right through to the early evening, always with smiles. Thank you everybody! What can I say! Matt your a Christmas legend. Phone these guys up after see amazing reviews, they were very helpful, and I gave them pretty much 36hrs notice to move a four bedroom house from a storage unit. As we moved from Cheshire to Essex, we did the packing and moved it all to a storage unit because we didn’t know when to complete, we are not good packers, they then did the move for us when we was in Essex and was amazing handling and assembling everything despite it was packed by us, they went above and beyond and even helped fox furniture that was previously broken by other delivery companies. We had used A J Stephenson Removals before so had no hesitation in using them again due to their professionalism and reliability. We experienced a few hurdles in our chain along the way so we're incredibly grateful to Matt for his patience, understanding and kindness throughout and taking away the stress for us when it came to removals. The office team (thanks to Jo and Claire) were friendly, helpful and responded quickly to any questions or requests for extra packing materials - promptly arranging delivery to us. Huge thanks to the Removals team (led by Phil) that we had on moving day too. He kept everything organised and calm (when I was worrying about how everything would fit into our new house!) and they all worked miracles in smartly stacking our boxes and furniture that we even had "room to spare"! AJ Stevenson have moved my family over the years multiple times. When it was time for me to move I didnt need to look anywhere else. I knew AJ Stevenson would look after me and more importantly my belongings and house! Matt couldn't have been more helpful on the run up to the move and on my move day. Nothing is too much trouble and the care that was taken to protect the house and furniture was excellent. Scott and Jamie made the long drive from London to Herefordshire. They immediately got on with putting protection throughout the house to ensure doors and carpets were covered. They efficiently emptied the lorry, again taking great care with my possessions. Nothing is too much trouble for AJ Stevenson. I'm so glad I used them and would 100% recommend them for their professionalism and customer service. We have moved house several times in our working lives, and now in retirement were not looking forward to having to do it once again. A J Stephenson made things so easy for us that the whole process was (almost!) a pleasurable one! The guys who did the move were very pleasant, and thoroughly professional. On the delivery day in particular, although short handed, and having had an early start and a long drive, the two young lads worked their socks off unloading and carrying most of the stuff upstairs for us. AJ Stephensons carried out our move at very short notice., they were very flexible in their approach and fitted us in by doing two moves over 2 separate days. This worked very well for us as it allowed us to clear some space to pack up more effects. The teams on the day were very helpful and constantly checked if there was anything else that need to to be taken on each trip. The were very careful to protect everything and were very mindful of making any mess. Overall they made our move a lot smoother than I was expecting which really was a big benefit during what is always a stressful time. ~ david k

Packing and collection completed as promised, storage effectively managed, and retrieval and unpacking brilliantly done. A seamless process that A.J. Stephenson made to look as it is was just so simple, thus enabling house and country moving which could have been a headache to actually be almost completely stress free. The only service over the past fifteen years which have caused me no upsets or dramas. I would highly recommend them to anyone requiring storage, removals and packing services. The whole team at AJ Stephenson were brilliant from start to finish. Every person we had contact with was helpful, easy to deal with, answered all of our questions and made us feel confident we were in safe hands. What also made the whole process stress free, was being able to hold a date in the future until we were ready to confirm a final date, after we had successfully exchanged contracts, this gave us a huge benefit in also coordinating our onwards plans. On the day of the move the 4 removal men who attended our property, were friendly, helpful, easy to communicate with. Nothing was too much trouble, 2 of the more experienced men really excelled in their knowledge and how to safely remove all of our items quickly and efficiently. I recently used AJ Stephenson for my move and overall, I had a great experience. The team arrived super early and worked incredibly hard all day. They disassembled all my furniture at the old house, carefully moved everything, and reassembled it at the new place. They even assembled my new dining table and chairs and connected appliances like the dishwasher and washing machine, which was a huge help. Their price was much lower than other companies I had approached, and they included assembly and disassembly without charging extra - something those companies wanted to charge more for. After the move, I noticed that one of the stabilising feet was missing on my fridge/freezer. The company was quick to respond and even offered to order replacement feet. I really appreciated their promptness and thought their customer service was top-notch. I would definitely recommend AJ Stephenson for a stress-free and reliable moving experience. ~ T B

I needed removals at the last minute. These guys bent over backwards to fit my move in with just a few days notice. They did their assessment of the move via a FT call set up within 20 minutes of my initial contact and a quote was emailed to me the same day. All packaging was delivered to me on the following day. The guys arrived on time and got straight to work. They handled everything with care and courtesy. All members of the team were professional and polite. Nothing was too much trouble including taking down beds and tv’s and last minute requests such as removing a curtain rail. I am definitely booking them again for my next move. ~ Sarah F

We have used AJ Stephenson before and did not hesitate before using them again this time. We will also be using them when we move back into our house later this year. From start to finish, A J Stephenson went the extra mile to make our move a stress free experience. Our chain had multiple problems which meant changing anticipated moving dates on several occasions. Each time AJ Stephenson dealt with the change with politeness and understanding. On packing day, the team were extremely professional and on moving day, there was good humour and great skill employed to settle us in to our new home. The perfect company to move with We took the full Packing service which was amazing! Like a team of lovely locusts descended on the house and packed everything efficiently and the ladies were so lovely and friendly, it made the experience the days before moving so much smoother. The loading and unloading of the van was like a military operation and the team were polite, friendly and really hard working. Stairs and doors were all covered to avoid damage, boxes all put in the right place and furniture reassembled! Can’t recommend them enough. ~ Kate H

If you are moving and thinking about hiring a van and using some mates, or worse paying a "man with a van", don't bother. In the grand scheme of a house move, the cost of this professional company is not worth worrying about. They were incredibly efficient; dealing with failed completion dates and providing almost unlimited packaging in advance without any drama. When it came to moving time, the team were literally military precise - cool calm and collected. Nothing was too much bother and they had us unloaded and away within 3 hours.
